Ensure your demolition or refurbishment project is completed safely
Modern Hygiene (1992) Ltd are qualified to carry out full or partial refurbishment or demolition surveys of any building that may require alteration, refurbishment or demolition works. A refurbishment or demolition survey is needed before any refurbishment or demolition is commences. This type of survey is used to locate and record, as far as possible, all asbestos-containing materials in the area where refurbishment or demolition work is taking place. This type of survey may also be necessary when maintenance or repair work is required, or plant is to be removed or dismantled.
Refurbishment and demolition surveys are more destructive than management surveys and sometimes involve “controlled investigations” in order to establish the presence of any asbestos materials. We may need to lift carpets and tiles, and break through walls, ceilings, partitions or floors. This will be decided by our surveyor on further inspection.

We work with a broad range of clients, from homeowners to local authorities, providing them with a survey report which will include results of all materials sampled, a full list and description of all areas inspected, annotated plans and conclusions.
